MAT - Management Aptitude Test

What is MAT Exam?
All India Management Association (AIMA), New Delhi conducts the Management Aptitude Test (MAT) as the national entrance test for admission to MBA and equivalent programs of the various participating institutes. MAT result is accepted by All India Management Association - Centre for Management Education (AIMA-CME) and other AICTE-approved Management Institutes (MI) and university departments.

Eligibility for MAT exam:-
Candidates should have completed graduation in any discipline from any recognized university.
Final year students of graduate courses can also apply.

Application Procedure for AIMA MAT Exam:-
  • Candidate can choose any one of the following modes to apply.
  • Obtain form with MAT exam bulletin/CD against cash payment of Rs. 1200/- (One thousand two hundred only) from listed nodal centres of AIMA or from AIMA, New Delhi.
                                              Or
  • Obtain crossed Demand Draft (DD) of Rs. 1200/- (One thousand two hundred only) in favour of ‘All India Management Association’ payable at Delhi from any bank. MAT exam online registration can be done at http://apps.aima.in/matfeb14 along with the DD details. Detailed procedure is given on the website link
                                               Or
  • MAT test registration can be done at http://apps.aima.in/matfeb14 with credit card/debit card (ATM card). Payment detailed procedure is given on the website link.
Pattern of MAT exam:-
MAT Aptitude Test is an objective type test with multiple-choice answers.
The MAT test is designed to measure a persons general aptitudes as the following table indicates:
  • Language Comprehension-40
  • Mathematical Skills-40
  • Data Analysis and Sufficiency-40
  • Intelligence and Critical Reasoning-40
  • Indian and Global Environment-40
